Affiliate Disclosure

This page explains how QuiltPilot may earn money from links, and how that does and does not change the calculators, the charts, and the guides.

Please note: in the outline version, no affiliate links are live yet, because no affiliate program has been joined and no retailer links have been added. This disclosure is written for the launch version, and until affiliate links are added, there is nothing to earn commission from on these pages. This is an outline disclosure. It will be reviewed before launch, and when affiliate links are added, they will be marked on the page where they appear, not only here.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a link to a shop or retailer. If you buy through that link, QuiltPilot may earn a small commission. That commission is paid by the shop or retailer, and it costs you nothing extra. You pay the same price whether you use the link or go to the shop directly.

Where affiliate links appear

Affiliate links on this site, when used, are placed below the calculator result, never above it. They never block the result, the chart, or the guide, and you can always read the result, the chart, and the guide without using any link.

When affiliate links are added, they will be marked on the page where they appear, so you can see which links are affiliate links without having to come back to this page.

What affiliate links do not change

Affiliate links do not change any calculator formula, result, chart, or worked example. They do not change which fabric, tool, or shop is recommended, because formulas are stated on each page and can be checked, and the result comes from your own inputs, not from any link.

A calculator result is the same whether or not you use an affiliate link. Using a link, or not using it, does not change the yardage, the cut size, the count, or the price the calculator shows.

No affiliate links in the outline version

In the outline version, there are no affiliate links on these pages, because no affiliate program has been joined and no retailer links have been added. The footer note about affiliate links describes the launch rule, not a live link on an outline page.

Until affiliate links are added, nothing on these pages earns commission, and nothing on these pages sends you to a shop for a commission.

Changes to this disclosure

This disclosure will be reviewed before launch. If affiliate links are added, this page will be updated, and each link will also be marked on the page where it appears. Until launch, treat this page as an outline, not as a final disclosure.
